Blogger has always lacked a Top 'Commentators Widget' which would encourage the readers to leave useful comments on your blog. Here i have used a yahoo pipe to implement the same. Thanks to google system for providing me with a wonderful yahoo pipe.This widget has some additional features unlike other 'Top Commentor Widgets'.This allows you to filter out the blog author's name from the top commentators list. You can filter out as many names as you want by using the filtering option in the widget installer(the filters should be separated by commas). So if you don't want to list 'Anonymous' in your top commentator list then just use it in the filter field. Another feature of this widget is that users can navigate to the commentator's profile or site by clicking on his name in the list.
You can also set the number of Top commentators that you want to display.You can see a demo of the widget here.
If you wish to install the Top commentators widget use any of the Widget installation buttons below:
Note: When you fill in the widget installer use yourblog.blogspot.com Don't use http://yourblog.blogspot.com or yourblog.blogspot.com/ (i.e dont use the http:// and also dont use the trailing slash)
1) Widget Based On Recent 500 Comments.This will judge the top commentators from the latest 500 comments to your blog.
2) Widget Based On Recent 5000 Comments.This will judge the top commentators from the latest 5000 comments to your blog.This widget is only needed if your blog has high density of comment.I mean if you have more than 500 comments on your blog you can use this one..
Note:-Install the second widget only and only if your blog has lots and lots of comments.Else you should opt for the first one..

yea.. it is possible.. a widget which lists the top authors..i think your top author is Jim Kelly with 813 posts.. hope i am right..
Thanks a lot for your help for my blog, I don't realize about the mistake. I am amazed looking your blogspot site and other blogger such as Amanda that using blogger.com as their blogging platform. I don't know much about useful widget for my site and always hope can migrate to wordpress. But I think after this I should carry on my blogspot site and getting own domaian name for it. yea it is possible if you want to remove the left numbering.. delete the following 2 lines from the widget code..
document.write('<ol>');
and
document.write('</ol>');
If you want to remove the number of comments,then i would have to modify the yahoopipe used for this..

I just have a question: would there be any way for the calculations to be made using more than 5000 comments? It's that I checked and my blog is approaching 5500, and while that isn't a big difference at all it means the numbers will become less accurate as time passes and more comments come in.

Thanks for your response. I tried what you suggested, leaving out the last "/" from the website address. Unfortunately, it still doesn't work. The widget shows up, with no names ... just blank. @Alexandre Brendim if you have the classic blogger template, then you will have to manually add the script to your blog's template..
First fill in the widget installer and you will be taken to Add Page element page
There opt for Edit Content. Copy out the entire code from there and close that window. Now add the copied code to your classic template..

@रंजन yes you can use the widget on any blog..You just have to fill the widget installer with the blog url whose commentors are to be displayed..

@nordish by nature the widget becomes empty when you fill the widget installer improperly,.. ;)
Actually you should fill the widget installer with ostseewind.blogspot.com and nothing else.. means you shouldn't add a www or http:// at the beginning and you shouldnt add a slash at the end.. i have tested the widget with your commentor list and it is working..your top commentor is berliner luft und ostseewelle (17) ;)
